Lag

Far far too much lag, and the problems are almost limitless. The actionscript needs some serious tinkering to make it way shorter and less glitchy. Oh no, I pick up a sniper rifle, now I can't use the rockets I had. Kabam! Oh dear, my shot went straight through his neck and out the other side and he hasn't noticed. Bang! Now I've been shot by someone apparently at the other side of the arena. Boom! As I respawn someone blew the two of us up with a grenade launcher, not giving a point to both of us but 2 to him instead. Now the kills are racking up, the lag is terrible, I can't see anyone but they can see me, now I'm dead again while my team mate is running into a wall. Is this really fun?
Also, make a motive for completing the single player because it seems better to just make a deathmatch and be done with it; it's more fun anyway.

Great but more lives?

This is a really cool game, and it being in chinese proves no problem because it's formulaic (how could three options just before you start not be easy, medium or hard?). But it's just too hard to manage on three lives, it could have had something like the ps2 metal slug's perpetual continues, or maybe something inventive. I'm sure having a credit system where getting a good score earns you more quarters, and you use a quarter if you want a continue, would work well. It just felt awfully uninventive to have three lives with no quirks or anything. Apart from that though, this is a great game in virtually every aspect.

What were you thinking?

Great game, very nice sounds, smoothly put together and original. But what were you thinking of with the bosses? It's lost a mark from my rating for it, the last boss is nearly impossible and it gives you a really bitter feeling knowing you haven't quite completed something.

Ps: For level 55 people, just watch the cannons and when they stop you move to the other side ;)

Nice

I got 46:74 on Nutterhorn... I reckon if I had an hour to spare I could crack it. Yeah... Nice game, love the crash animations ;)

Hmm.

Overrated, solely because the enemies are boring to kill. If you try flashy combos, you end up pushing them and yourself into the side, and you need to be a coward and run away to get another decent crack at them. So make some moves which hit where you are standing along with near it, and the basic sword attacks should not push your character forward. Plus, the enemies take hours to kill. Please for the love of god halve the enemy's health, even if it's to make them twice as difficult. I quit because I couldn't stand sitting there for five minutes waiting for one of them to die, and knowing I would have to do this twenty more times to complete the level or anything. Please slightly revise it, so it's less tedious to play.

Ooh, great AI

I love the AI in this. I tried training an artificial one up and it seems to be a great fighter now; a small one was chasing it from behind so it drove in a straight line fast then reversed and destroyed the midget. Did you intend to have the AI get better the higher the kills?
Killed: 16 and growing fast.

WallArcher responds:

Nope, but their damage increases with each kill. Actually, there is no AI in this. Like the title says, 'Gravity based movement'. Their front end is always facing in their direction of movement, and whenever an element gets ahead of another one, it will eventually start falling back because of it's gravitational pull, making it look like sophisticated AI.

Ooh, pretty.

Nicely done. The main design fault is that you can't die in hell, although overall this is very playable. The graphics run smoothly and seem to fit, although the shoot felt a little limiting, as if a demon were on the level above you can't hit it from below. As this is the case shoot would have done much better if it was direction you point. Sound feels smooth enough although can get a little repetetive. The scoring is a little harsh as often you will die by crashing into numerous demons in a hoard and that can easily put your score in a minus number. The main thing with it all though is that although polished, it just doesn't quite fill the "fun" quota, although as far as first flashes go that is reverse of normal. Faster movement and a better shooting system could easily top this into double digits but for me it's a well earned 7.

Pfft...

I feel a slight need here to say that I completed the full monochrome on hard, so sux to people on that who struggled.

But as a whole, these sorts of mixes don't feel very well put together, as it appears that each person has thought "let someone else make an addictive game to get everyone here, i'll make a half-good game to up my advertising," and this means that none quite glue you to the screen. Mostly it was that they had some sort of flaw that meant forever you had to work on two things at once, with only one mouse and one cursor. In cases it was too easy though, but overall all the artists need to just work out how to make the game more fun to play.

And enough with the quizes, they suck, please stop reinventing them.

The only dress up I like

This is good, has a variety of parts and these can be used to make very interesting bots.. Next time maybe include a screenshot area with a white bg so we can make smaller files, and for new pieces try some various guns, missile launchers ect, and a few helmet pieces so we can create a more anime based bot, because that is what many on the board are wanting. And while you're at it, some feet not attached to legs please :) *going in my favourites*

Kester thinks it makes him look intelligent to talk in third person.
